View a chapter-by-chapter discussion of Atlas Shrugged by Dr. Onkar Ghate, delivered in June 2007 to college students at the Clemson Institute for the Study of Capitalism’s first annual student conference on the moral foundations of capitalism. The course presupposes full familiarity with the content of Atlas Shrugged. Plot spoilers are included. The course is appropriate for AP and college students.

Dr. Ghate is a senior fellow at the Ayn Rand Institute where he teaches at the Institute’s Objectivist Academic Center. He lectures on philosophy and Objectivism throughout North America. Dr. Ghate received his doctorate in philosophy from the University of Calgary. His op-eds have been published in newspapers such as the Houston Chronicle, Orange County Register, Las Vegas Review-Journal, Providence Journal and the San Diego Business Journal. Dr. Ghate participated in a BBC panel discussion on “altruism” and has given numerous radio interviews.
